Amtrak train 49, The Lake Shore Limited, running more than 10 hours late, makes a rare daytime appearance in northern Ohio
on July 20, 2014. Two of our passengers enjoy the view from the rear vestibule, while railroad enthusiasts observe the
trains's westward progress as it passes through Olmsted Falls, Ohio.

Sunday evening July 20, 2014 finds MOUNT VERNON parked in the former New York Central station at Toledo.
Due to excessive delay, Amtrak terminated train 49 at Toledo, and turned the equipment to operate as train 48 back to New York. MOUNT VERNON waited about 11 hours for the next westbound train (#29, The Capitol Limited) to come by
and "rescue" us, taking us on to Chicago.
